A couple years back I got a hyper threading 3ghz computer, come to find out it says on the computer's properties ( Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00ghz 3.00ghz ) So I figured it had two processors, but how could this be even task manager identified two cores. Check this video out and I show you what it says http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6ctQNMtmcQ&fmt=18 . Its really confusing of whether it is or not. For one thing it's blazing fast plays games good and everything, and that's surprising since the fact I updated from xp professional to vista premium.

I guess your question is whether or not it has two processors. It doesn't. Hyperthreading basically means there's a second virtual processor that can switch out with the one physical processor. It was advertised as being "like two processors", but really it just makes up for some bad design decisions with the Netburst architecture.

No,but I Like it!If dual-core chips can be thought of as two heads, Hyper-Threading (HT) Technology might well be compared to two halves of one brain. Essentially, in an HT-enabled chip, there is one set of main execution logic, but the architectural state resources are duplicated. A symmetric multiprocessing OS, such as Windows XP, recognizes these redundant resources, sees them as two logical processors, and can issue instruction threads to both logical processors as needed. Most instruction threads only use a portion of the processor's total resources, much like only pondering a task with one side of your brain.

You do...because in the task manager where it shows CPU Usage History it is split in half which means you have HT. Download CPU-Z and will show youalot about your system...
