If you didn't get the exact same make and speed as your old memory your new memory won't work alongside it

The PC won't turn on at all?

Usually even if you have the memory incorrect the PC will attempt to boot up. It will just return an error msg after a few seconds.

Are you sure you have the correct type of memory?

www.crucial.com. Fill in your make and model # of computer. Make sure that your memory corresponds EXACTLY to what is listed on crucial.

most likely the new ones are the wrong kind. For example, my brothers PC takes DDR2 667 ram, but its PC2 5300, while most ram like that is actually PC2 5400, so 5400 ram wouldnt work in his pc.

either wrong kind of memory or the new ones are dead
