Hi,

Unfortunately you can not change it back. Use Help if you are stuck finding something. The help in the new MS Word 07 is pretty useful. I have yet to find the Ribbon Toolbar a better design.

Yes there are programs that will let you modify the ribbon bar to make it look like the Microsoft Word 2003 menu interface:

Some people do not like the new ribbon interface because it sometimes takes MORE steps in order to do the same task in the older versions of MS Office, so you can see why the above programs would be popular with these computer users.

Even Microsoft offers a way to modify the MS Office 2007 menu interface!

Good luck and I hope you will find this to be helpful!

You can get rid of the ribbon, but it is only temporary, when you click on the small arrow, in your screen upside left corner right side the office button (it is the quick acces-menu) and if the arrow is not there you right click (mousebutton) inthere, so a window pops up whit commands and all under, the last command = 'minimize the ribbon'. To have the ribbon back you go back there to unmark the minimize option.

By the way: you will miss the ribbon because of it's functionality it is so easy to work with it.

The Office ribbon cannot be changed back to the Office 03 style menu bar. You can press Ctrl+F1 to hide the ribbon and only have it show when you are accessing a menu.

You should probably get used to the ribbon style menu bar, Windows 7 makes use of it in some of the default apps (paint, wordpad, etc...), and it looks like some other applications are starting to design ribbon style menus.

you mean the new 'ribbon' design

as far as i know you're stuck with it, at first i HATED it with a passion but try it for a while and really does work its intuitive and much easier than a load of menus
