I am currently running an Nvidia GeForce GT 630 that runs about 25-30 fps on Arma 2. I am definitely buying a new graphics card for around £120, according to game debate the one i am looking to buy has around 180% where as the one i am currently running only has 95%. Instead of replacing my current GPU i am considering doubling them up, quite obviously i am pretty new to the whole pc world so i was looking for some advice. What are the main benefits of Dual-GPU. Does it effect FPS in games? is it worth doubling up the GPU instead of Replacing it? And What are the requirements of Doubling up a GPU?

Thanks
Alex

First off im not sure if gt 630 supports SLI (dual gpu).

Secondly, even if it does a dual gt 630 will not help much in latest games.

Third, get a gtx 650 ti/ HD 7790 these gpus can give good fps in latest games on the condition that other hardware in ir pc doesnt bottleneck them.

Single, powerful GPU is always a better solution over SLI, when it comes to lower end hardware.

Dual GPU setups have too many shortcomings to make it worthwhile, bar 1440p and 4k gaming.

Dumbest question on here

"Does dual GPU affect fps" What do you think dual GPU are used for?

and anyway the GT630 doesn't even support SLI, that's for gaming cards which the 630 is not
