Question:
Need to use an old Zip Drive, one more time...?

I know this old Zip Drive is obsolete, but I have information on some old Zip disks that I'd like to transfer and no way to transfer them.

The connection is via parallel port and I believe it required Windows 95 or some such thing to load the software. The computer I have now is two generations beyond and I'm unable to make the connections. Any suggestions?

You could get an adaptor like this http://www.techfocus.co.uk/USB-Adapters-Dongles/TFA06.htm or see if a friend with a computer that has a parallel port will connect it up and transfer the data to CD or USB Stick for you.

Try Iomega's web site for newer drivers, but I wouldn't hold out much hope. My experience with two of their drives (a 100 meg and a 750 meg) is that they pretty much abandon previous hardware even as far as upgrading to their newer hardware is concerned.

Good luck.
