What is causing error code 0XC0AA0301 when burning dvd?

Question

When ever i burn a dvd or cd, iso or music. The burner returns an error: The dis image didn't burn successfully because an error occurred. The write failed becuase the drive returned error information that could not be recovered from (Error code: 0XC0AA0301)

this comes up when i burn with both my internal and external disc drives. but when i burn with another machine with the same disc drive i do not get the error??????????

I found this answer to this question on Microsoft's Technet website. I hope it helps, it also says to make sure you have updated your firmware for the hardware I think it was.
