Can my internet speed be affected by how many devices are plugged into it?

So I have Roadrunner internet, and it goes through a router that is hardwire connected to my Xbox 360 and apple TV. Can having those other devices connected slow down my internet connection on my PC?

if they are being used, or if something on them is accessing the internet, then you will slow down

If all devices are work at the same time then speed must reduce.
