I am trying to upgrade my 90 gb OCZ agility 3 ssd to a new 120 gb OCZ vertex 4 ssd to get more space. From what I understood, I thought I could just use a program (in this case I tried driveImage XML and also tried windows backup) and I was unable to write the data from onto the disk. It kept saying that the data could not be loaded to the disk. Can anyone shed some light on this issue? I would like to figure this out before tomorrow as I am leaving for college and would like this issue resolved. I don't want to have to reinstall windows because I have some programs (i.e. word, adobe acrobat, sony vegas, and some other programs that I use a lot and paid for and I would like to not have to reinstall them on the new system.

If this is the operating system disk it is still going to be far too small. You need a minimum now of about 160 GB or you will very soon fill it again with system temporary files and additional updates. Even that is small, so I always advise 250 GB, and I will refuse to load an operating system for a customer on less than 500 GB. And copying or using backup will NOT work as you need a proper boot image and master boot record on the drive which neither will do. You need to use a disk clone program.

Go to the web site for the SSD and get their cloning software. 90 Gig onto a 120 gig will work.

You can want Mister but we don't work for you , you got that? I think as you have not gone into any detail you should install windows on the new drive and the other programs aswell. It wont take too long.
