Ask if they are A+ and Network+ Certified and when. Would they rather build new systems or repair older ones. What type of experience do they have with legacy equipment.

Cerifications are attained by passing a CISCO certified exam and are very important for anyone working with hardware to have. Legacy equipment is older hardware tht is still being used by some people.

I think asking what type of anything is their favorite is only going to get you their opinion, not a verifiable answer.
