ok, so here is the whole "issue" Every now and then, at completely random intervals, my computer will go into a complete freeze. The worst part is that it doesn't just come back after 30 seconds, it stays like that, frozen, and playing whatever sound i happen to hear at that point over and over and over again. I am running on a custom build computer, on 64 bit windows vista enterprise. I'll post the specs here:

Go to the Nvidia website and get the latest video drivers for your card. Check for newer drivers for your sound card.........it sounds like it a built in sound card. Think about getting a stand alone sound card like a sound blaster.

Your problem sounds like driver issues.

Good luck.

You may know this but here goes. Are you by chance running 2 different virus programs, i have seen several people on here say they are using 2 different ones. Virus programs basically don't run well together. If not the problem then ignore.

Are you by chance getting a blue screen at times with an error code. If so write down that code next time it pops up and do a google search on it.

Other than that it is hard to say without looking at it, could be a lot of things from hardware to software.

Hope you get it straightened out.

After examining all those different solutions, it occurred to me that the concern could o.k. have not got something to do with the OS, viruses, or any of that different nonsense. in basic terms positioned, it may desire to probably be a subject resembling what I had a while in the past. i exchange into experiencing an identical hassles, the sole factor i could desire to do exchange into to close it down and attempt lower back later Lo and behold, i desperate to get a bigger not easypersistent sooner or later, I put in it and the concern disappeared. WHY? It seems that the concern exchange into that the HDD exchange into at fault. A techie advised me after testing it, that a capacitor (a thingie that holds a fee for a undeniable length of time) interior the HDD exchange into not functioning and subsequently it exchange into overheating and closing itself down. answer: Get yet another HDD, set up the OS, set up all your backups and/or reinstall any classes or video games you prefer. an excellent sort of artwork, yet regardless of the shown fact that, a comp. is in basic terms a splash hardware, it may and does destroy down via no fault of your individual. ;-)
