Ok people. I really need a computer for free. not only because i dont have any money, but because I need it for school work. It would probably have to be ----} Windows xp. {----

look at www.craigslist.org for your town, then in the free category. You can always post in the wanted section for free, too. It's a great resource. There's also freecycle.org for your area.



to the options below - craiglist does indeed work. My roommate got a free car that lasted for over a year when she needed it, and I've gotten some lovely furniture and a new george foreman grill someone didn't want. computers are completely possible.

There's TONS of free stuff in this world! Even computers!



Do you live in a large city? Go to www.freecycle.org and look for your city and join. There are 3,300,000 members all over the world who are against throwing good, usable stuff in landfills when someone could be using it so they post free items for pick up ever day. They often give away computers and sometimes even old laptops!



Give it a shot! It's free! No strings attached except that you've gotta go get the thing yourself. That's it.

do you have a xbox, or ps2? You can modify these and install linux or windows xp. Then you can do your school work and not play video games! :)
