My HDD got corrupted so i gave it to the repair shop and they told me they had to reformat the HDD so i said OK... they they did a file recovery to recover all the non corrupted files... but they have all got converted to PDF files... all my videos and documents... only my pics and music came back in their correct format

so how do i change all that recovered files for a PDF to a video file format... they is no video conversion that does PDF

If you know what format it was in before, you could literally change the .pdf part yourself. So if it was an .avi just type it in mydoc.avi (instead of mydoc.pdf)

You need to know though what the file was befoe hand for it to work. You can just try a few:

.mov

.avi

.wmv

Depending on what and how much the data is recovered in the file, you might be able to rename and make the file work again. First of all, you must remember the original format of the file that was recovered, and if you do, rename the file to the correct format, for example: Rename video.pdf to video.avi to whatever format it is.

If you know the original extension of the file, you can manually change them. In windows explorer, right click the file in question, and choose rename. For example, if you have a file named video.pdf and you know it was originally video.wmv, then you can rename it. And if you don't remember, you can download a program called Gspot that will tell you what the file is regardless of what it is named. (It's been a while since I used this program, but I'm pretty sure it will do this).

try right clicking choose "open with" and try adobe acrobate... and so on with other files that need to be changed
