can someone gives me some info about supercomputers hardware?

my bud and i have been searching all day long for this and we cannot get it yet, we have to find the hardware of a typical supercomputer, help us out plz ! luv ya

supercomputers = network of lots of computers compiled to run special software that syncs and computes, plug in data and it spits it out. supercomputers are used to do things like catalog human genes.



or a "hardcore" computer... go to newegg.com, select the most expensive product from each category basically. stuff like video cards come out with a faster model every 2 weeks.
