I have a kingston 2gb pen drive. when i want to delete or copy anything from it it shows "write protected" it does not have the switch of write protection.

Check ur device settings from control panel whether the current device is working or not.Perform scanning & even this not worked .then mail me at - rahulcoolnsmart@yahoo.com

there would definitely be a sol. for ur write protection(steps are little lengthy)

This is in addition to another user's comment, you can always recover data from a disk as soon as its deleted, but once you start installing files on it, it will overwrite the deleted data. as long as you havn't done this, your chances of recovering all deleted files is almost 100%.

scan ur pen drive with kaspersky antivirus, may ur pen drive contain Autorun.inf otherwise format it
