i cannot fathom where the 4 pin adapter on an atx power supply for a p4 goes on my asrockp4i45gv motherboard?

i bought this asrock motherboard and went and got a 500w atx power supply with the 4 pin adapter but there does not seem to be anywhere for it to go.
please help!!!!!!!!

yes read the manual for sure ... but most otherboards do not hook up with a four pin adapter ... they have different connectors.
some power supplies are not compatible with some motherboards, or need an adapter for this reason.
if it is not obvious by looking at what you have coming off
the power supply and what you have in terms of connectors
on the motherboard .. you are in over your head and you
need to take it somewhere and let someone fix it for you.

merely yet another 4 cord pigtail with a sq. connector. in case you have not got any place to plug it, enable it cling. the extra beneficial ability performs diverse purposes on diverse manufacturers of motherboard, yet surely aspects extra ability for the popular boards in a extra helpful configuration.

mmm good question ive been looking at a pic of it and carnt see the p4 socket eathier ..... id be inclined to put the normal mainboard conector in and give it a try if works very silly a p4 mainboard with the use of a p4 power socket ....?!?!?

Some just dont use it. You can double check in your motherboard manual, but some boards just dont use it.
I Just read through its manual it is a 20pin motherboard, so just tuck that wire somewhere you dont need it.
