I purchased a program called "Driver Detective" a while back and i used it because my Windows was corrupted and so i had to reinstall it, in the process of doing so i wiped my hard drive of everything including drivers, so i got driver detective and downloaded all my drivers back. since then my windows had a virus so i recovered everything again but this time driver detective could not find the audio driver download usually it would appear as "PCI device" and have a little save icon to download it, but now there is no icon and im unable to download it.

If you can't find a right audio driver, you can try this site:

http://www.best-driver-updater.com/drivers/sound-card-drivers-download.html

There is a program I use which will find drivers for just about all hardware devices. The best part is it takes a snapshot of your system specifications and matches the right driver to go with it.

You can also search by the following link:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.drivers-updates.net%2F&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=

And you can also keep asking on:

You should just go on the manufacturers website to get drivers. I used a better one than that called Uniblue Driver scanner, did some research and found it is a spyware program or mainly its sister program tune up. I Installed it got all the drivers I needed and then uninstalled it. You might see it on you tube. But sound-card drivers are easy to get there is only a few manufacturer's. Downloading and installing the drivers is no more difficult than installing that App anyway.
