1st Q&A

connecting !CPU and 2Monitors. The easiest way is to buy a video card that comes with 2 video output. This video card is very cheap now. With the video card, you can configure it to be a clone screen (means showing to identical in 2 monitor). It also can be configure to show extension of a wide screen display.

Since you only have 1 CPU, you only need 1 keyboard and mouse connected to the CPU.

2ndQ&A

connecting 2 CPUs and 1 Monitor. You have to buy a hardware call KVM Switch (Keyboard, Video, Mouse switch)

You have to use the keyboard to toggle between the 2 CPUs.

You only need 1 mouse and keyboard connected to the KVM Switch and 2 pairs of Keyboard and mouse extension cable to connect from KVM switch to the 2 CPUs.

Please refer to the url below for more info on KVM Switch

One CPU to 2 monitor.

Lots of solution.

One CPU to 2 monitors while displaying the same screen.

Buy a cheap VGA Video Splitter.

One CPU to 2 monitors while displaying the same or different program screen, get another display card (2 display cards on the same CPU)

One CPU to 2 monitor + 2 keyboard+2 mouse and 2 different user logins. Network terminal (ie. NComputing L110, www.ncomputing.com)

You only need 1 monitor and 1 keyboard.

If your current videocard only has 1 VGA connector, then you need a videocard with two video outputs: 1 VGA and 1 DVI (w/ a DVI-VGA converter if needed).

I suggest getting an ATI 9500 or higher card for Vista compatibility. An nVidia 6/7/8000 series is also recommended for the same reason.

You can put in two cards; each from a different manufacturer and chipset, but I've found that it's difficult to manage dual video drivers.

For the last 3 years, I've been using a WinXP 4-monitor setup using two ATI videocards. My latest rig is a WinVista setup w/ two nVidia videocards.

Have fun.

Yes but ur AGP card have to have an analog port and a digital port to connect 2 monitors. And both of ur monitor have to have those which is now common in most of the good LCD monitors.
