Question:
Can't install USB-MIDI driver for Yamaha?
?

I went on Yamaha's website to get the windows 7 32 bit USB-MIDI driver so i can connect my pc to my electric piano. So i downloaded the file from the correct region and ran the setup.exe file with the correct procedure. But when I ran it it said " The processor is not adequate for running Yamaha USB-MIDI driver". But my processor is an Intel Core i3-380, which i'm pretty sure is good enough of a processor. Could someone please tell me what i need to do to download the driver.

Hi,

That is strange as the requirement for the cpu is minimal, check here for the drivers :-

use the 64bit driver i had the same problem with my pc with an i3 processor. the 64 bit only works with celeron processors not i3/5/7 processors

from looking at the drivers i would say its just not recognising the cpu.have you tried compatability mode.right click the program ,select properties ,select compatability , select xp and click apply.

this should work.

midi is normally plug and play ie you should be able to record / play back without drivers.
