so i was in an art studio painting, and i had a bottle of indian ink sitting by my keyboard. I have a macbook pro btw, and i knocked it over, the ink went mostly around the keys but went really close or even in: fn, control, option and shift. I cleaned it out, feeling like it didn't get it so i just cleaned the surface. Two or so hours later the whole second row of keys stopped working and i restarted the computer and tried to fix it. I could not so I turned it into apple and they said they would charge me 750 dollars to repair it if it is liquid damage, but if it is software error ( or something) they would do it free. So i'm wondering if you guys think i will have to pay that price, is it liquid damage or am i safe?

Use a little common sense. You SPILLED it on the HARDWARE. How the hell could it be a software issue?

Edit: I hate to burst your bubble but the person you called just answers phones and reads from a script. They are quoting repair prices. You'd better take out a loan. I've been repairing pcs for over 30 years. I think I know what I'm talkin bout !

Its not a software damage software is not reality. But I'm pretty sure it would count as a liquid damage but the ink is probably dried out. Just pop out the keys they should be removable and then clean out the keys.

decrease than the keys there's a sealed membrane. that's fairly water-resistant. Spilled soda, coffee, beer on mine and it nevertheless works. supply it a easy spray of water, a shake and enable dry in one day. you will no longer get electrocuted, we are speaking 5V DC. A keyboard is only $20 besides.

I think it should be good , but you might have to pay that price if even a small amount went in
