Graphics card not responding?

This follows a quesion i just asked. My graphics card overheated so i dusted it and ive had no problem since then, but its only been a few hours to really tell a big difference. Clock speed after dusting was brought down to around 35-40% from the usual 80-90% before this started happening and fan speed brought up to 100%. Temp looks fine now but when i play world of warcraft on the normal clock settings the card quickly stops responding, but at a 35%-40% clock speed its fine. Im really confused because usualy, if at all its the other way around. But even then up until a week or so ago i was able to handle 100% clock speed with max settings on the game(at that point things would get unresponsive for 10-15 seconds once in a while so i lowered game settings and it stopped, i did this before the overheat)

So my question is.. what on earth is happening to my graphics card right now lol?
I have a Ati Radeon 5770, and ive had no trouble with this card in the past couple years up until recently.

There is a reason people use compressed air to clean dust off of circuits...physical contact by any object can kill transistors and do mild damage to other components. That is likely the reason for your problems.

I'm assuming there was physical contact since you have stated there was 'dusting' involved, of course.

it stopped responding as a safety measure to prevent burnt card. the reason for high temperature on slower clock rate may be problem with the cooling. check n make sure cable from psu that provide extra cooling to the card is properly connected.
