Question:
Sounds from my speakers sound like they are in a tunnel with echo? Anyone know what could cause this?

They are older, radio shack stereo speakers. Just don't want to buy new ones and have them do the same thing.

Thank you

Do you have a Creative Soundcard or drivers? There is a setting in the Mixer that allows you to add these effects, and also in other programs, I'm only familliar with Creative tho. If you do have Creative go into the mixer and then goto the EAX mode...There you can select "No Effects" at the top of the list. Hope this helps!

Have the speakers ever not sounded this way? It may be just be the speakers but other things to check before going and getting new ones is to see if your sound card has any soundfields or anything like that. The media player you are using to play your files may also have soundfields installed. Soundfields are ways of manipulating sound to give it a certain effect. SRS WOW and things like that.

Sounds to me like you have the speakers plugged into the microphone jack and the tunnel sound would be reverb.
