I have two pendrives
Silicon power 2 GB
Moserbaer 4 GB
Both pendrives showing the message"Please insert a disk into drive H:"
I have tried many ways like changing drive letter, boot with pendrive ,
and many softwares also.but cannot able to format
pen drive.
I visited many sites, forums, blogs, but none of their solution work for me.
I have tested these on other computer but they shows same message.
Other pendrives are working fine on my computer.
HCL P2825 LAPTOP INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE INSIDE
OPERATING SYSTEM - WINDOWS XP SP3
My computer is completely virus free. I am using kaspersky antivirus.
I will be thankful to yo if you can suggest a solution.

Go to Device manager, RightClick USB root hub, devices, select Uninstall.

Now connect your pen drive and refresh. USB devices would be reinstalled automatically and your pen drive too should be installed.

If that fails, throw away your pen drive and buy a new one.

1)Insert your pen drive into laptop and than right click your my computer\properties\hardware\device manager right click any icon 'scan for hardware changes'.





2)Insert your pen drive into laptop and than right click your my computer\manage\disk management right click your pen drive\format it.





3)If both options goes fail than insert your pen drive into another computer and format it well and then re insert in your computer.
