If you're happy with your current harddrive space... and just want something to back up your data... buy an external harddrive... not only can you back up your files, you can save music / movies / pictures whatever else you'd like to... it can be a media storage drive and an important file backup..You can get them at walmart... they're called 'Western Digital My Books'... they're small, portable usb hdd's... very compact.. very nice... hooks up easyly, through the USB port of your laptop.. hope this helps

which will in basic terms paintings if your sister additionally has an identical sort pc as you do. It won't reason any harm to her gadget, yet would reason further harm on your annoyingchronic if it particularly is already broken (the quest for the "appropriate drivers" would be examine-extensive, and any capacity driving force conflicts that reason a blue demonstrate would be annoying on an already damagedchronic) or reason it to no longer boot once you get your different gadget back. in all probability, until the pc fashions are an identical or comparable, your sister's gadget won't boot to homestead windows using your annoyingchronic. you will desire to truly be using an exterior enclosure or SATA-to-USB adapter to tug documents from a annoyingchronic you have pulled from a working laptop or pc. If the homestead windows errors restoration demonstrate is appearing, yourchronic is a minimum of healthy sufficient to correctly known the working device. the two way, you could connect an exterior video demonstrate on your pc to envision and notice if the irritatingchronic nevertheless reads right; an exterior video demonstrate will demonstrate video output right, so which you would be able to navigate throughout the startup techniques.

there are a few things you could do, (i'll keep them short and sweet, google them if you dont know how to do them)
1 Disable Hibernate
2 Disable system restore
3 uninstall the programs/games that you havnt used in over a month
4 the files that you have created like music, the ones that you dont use, burn to a dvd
5 if you still dont have enough space that you want, a external drive.

You can't add more space to your current hard drive, but you can buy another hard drive, altho it won't be built into your computer it will be plugged it and kept outside. Try going to newegg.com and search "Externeal Hard Drive" and check out what it gives you
