Question:
Why do I get errors with memtest 86+ with all 3 sticks of RAM, but not when I test each one individually?

After getting low passmark memory scores, I tested with memtest86+. I had my RAM set up as follows:
Yellow Slot 1: 1 Gig of G Skill ddr2 800 (CAS 5-5-5-15)
Black Slot 1: 1 Gig of Patriot ddr2 800 (CAS 5-5-5-15)
Yellow Slot 2: 1 Gig of G skill ddr2 800 (CAS 5-5-5-15).
After 2 hours 37 minutes, I had an error (see below for details). So, I tested each one individually for at least 3 hours (one I tested 5 hours while at work). No errors. What could've happened? Why do I get errors while testing all 3 sticks, but not when testing each one individually? All sticks are still under warrenty. If I can figure out which is the culprit, I'll RMA it.

Error: 2 passes, 2:37 minutes walltime, Failing address- 00080d36604 -- 2061.3 MB, Good-ffffffff, Bad-dfffffff, Err-bits-20000000.

Athlon x2 6000 (oc'd to 3.15 ghz)
Asus m2n-sli deluxe
Hitachi Deskstar 320 gig, 16 mb cache
RAM listed above
Sony Optiarc DVD-R/RW X18
eVGA 7600 GT KO

Henry B, don't bother testing your memory sticks all at once. I found out that when they check out OK individually, that should work fine collectively. My present memory sticks (3 ea.) will not work with Memtest86 if I have more than one installed. Each stick runs fine individually after 4 passes each. I just gave up and put them in my computer and they have been running fine ever since without a problem. I have never been able to get memtest86 to work with more than one memory stick, ever.

Do you have another black memory slot? I think you have to pair memory for that board eg the yellow slots are one pair and the black slots are another pair.Sometimes they will accept a single stick in bank 1. Pull the memory from the black slot and just test 2 sticks in the yellows. Also, are you sure the voltage for the Patriot memory is EXACTLY the same as the GSkill? Also, don't void your cpu warranty by overclocking if you only get an extra 150mhz

Go into device manager and click on your device.

If they are conflicting, try removing each one, one at a time and replacing the ones that don't resolve the conflict as you go.

Red question mark means a conflict.

Also, try properties tab for each driver and update the drivers that are installed, they may have not even installed, so you will have to enable them.
