Hard Disk slowdowns are almost always a result of file fragmentation. When files become fragmented the HDD is forced to go to multiple locations to acquire a single file, dramatically slowing access times. Windows provides a built-in disk defragmentation software which can be accessed via the System Tools window in the Start Menu or by right-clicking on a HDD in My Computer and selecting Properties -> Tools -> Defragment Now...

Also, you should not need to format the drive in order to check for bad sectors with ScanDisk.

One final point to make is that just because your computer is slow doesn't necessarily mean your hard drive is slow. Defragmenting will not hurt you in any way, but if that doesn't help you might consider checking for other issues in your system. EXTREMELY slow computers are usually a result of malware (virus, spyware, etc.) infection, faulty OS parameters (Windows having issues, especially registry issues) or excessive resource usage (too many apps running at once), not hard disk access times.

specific it is going to likely be particularly slow that is because of fact while the computing device is used it searches archives interior the annoying disk - which would be annoying while there's hundreds of archives. it may be like reading 500 books in 5 minutes

3.wait while files are being loaded

4.to set up windosws xp press enter

5.press f8 to agree

6.then press esc to setup new windows

7.delete all drives(sure you have taken back-up)

8.make new drives, just follow the instruction,it is easy.

I think your pc is infected by virus, install a good anti virus and scan for virus in your pc.It will increase your hdd speed.

If still it is not right then back up your data, you can copy your important data from your main sys drive like c dive and copy it in other drive and format only the sys main drive it surely increase speed.
