I had Windows Vista Home Premium for my Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898 and I upgraded it to Windows Vista Ultimate. I tried to connect to my wireless netgear router and now it won't let me connect. I tried to uninstall the driver and reconnecting it after rebooting but it failed to install. Is there any way I can fix this?

You may need to move the pc so you can get a wired connection first and get the correct driver you need for Vista ultimate.

I always install new OS with a wired connection first.

Your terrific guess is seem for brand spanking new drivers on your instantaneous adapter. it would additionally be you dont have the community and sharing middle set up wisely. bypass to the community and sharing middle with the aid of suited clicking the internet connection icon interior the backside suited notification area, or purchase going start up, administration panel, community and sharing middle. on the superb, you will see replace adpater settings. in this window make certain there's a instantaneous connection with the aid of way of your adpater... make certain its no longer disabled... no count if this is enabled yet there is not any sign do this... suited click the instantaneous connection and bypass to properties.... you will a abode windows with verify packing packing containers.... uncheck cyber web protocol version 6 and click ok.... this enables some people because it form of feels some older routers do unlike IP V6... a sort of strategies would desire to help, if no longer it would have some thing to do along with your encyption... disable all your wep and wpa secure practices and verify out it then... the re enable it one step at a time..
