I'm using the usb-creator tool to make my usb drive bootable but I can't get it to work. The button that says 'Make Startup Disk' is grayed out and I'm not sure how to get it to work. Thanks for any help.

not sure on your specific problem, but check out the instructions for making a bootable ubuntu pendrive
http://www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/download
you may be able to follow a similar procedure to get yours working
you could also have a look at this: http://www.bootdisk.com/pendrive.htm as i've made one using their instructions before

Bootable with windows operating system or linux?
Download your linux iso and then lili the usb creator here http://www.linuxliveusb.com/
The rest is easy
