Hardware is the general term that is used to describe physical artifacts of a technology.

It can be equipment such as fasteners, keys, locks, hinges, latches, corners, handles, wire, chains, plumbing supplies, tools, utensils, cutlery and machine parts, especially when they are made of metal. In the United States, hardware has been traditionally sold in "hardware stores".

Computer hardware is the physical part of a computer, including the digital circuitry, as distinguished from the computer software that executes within the hardware. The hardware of a computer is infrequently changed, in comparison with software and data, which are "soft" in the sense that they are readily created, modified or erased on the computer. Firmware is a special type of software that rarely, if ever, needs to be changed and so is stored on hardware devices such as read-only memory (ROM) where it is not readily changed (and is therefore "firm" rather than just "soft").

Abbreviated as HW, Hardware is best described as any physical component of a computer system that contains a circuit board, ICs, or other electronics. A perfect example of hardware is the screen on which you are viewing this page. Whether it be acomputer monitor, tablet or smartphone; it's hardware.

Without any hardware, your computer would not exist, and software could not be used. The picture is aLogitech webcam, an example of an external hardwareperipheralcomputerhope.com. This hardware device allows users to take videos or pictures and transmit them over the Internet.

Below is a list of external hardware and internal hardware and the categories of hardware that may be found with a computer.

Hardware is the entire collection of computer devices. Examples of devices are a computer screen, printer, mouse, keyboard, scanner, etc. Even the internal motherboard (a giant electronical board inside the metal case where all cards and components are plugged in) is considered hardware. Without hardware there can be no software. Software is purely virtual and cannot be grasped with one's hands (hardware can be touched). Software is the collection of computer programs.

A computer program is a series of instructions that are executed by the computer. A program is being launched such as Internet Explorer, games p.e. Doom III, Microsoft Word, etc.

There are many different kinds of hardware that can be installed inside, and connected to the outside, of a computer. For More details: https://tr.im/hardware

Hardware is exactly that. Its hard. Your computer is the hardware. The information (programs) that are put into it is Software. The disk the software is on is also Hardware.

sure ram is. It does no longer remember what the ram does its what that is. RAM is hardware no ifs or buts. software is something that won't be able to be held on your hand. You cant uninstall ram without placing out your tower there for that is Hardware.
