My Computer Timer or System Time getting slower , What should I do to fix this problem ?

I have my 8 years old computer . The brand name of my motherboard is : Mercury . When I start up my computer, my computer timing shows wrong timing and date. Every time I fixed the timing and date of my computer when I boot my computer. Next day when I start up my computer again, it shows previous day's date and timing.

So, How to fix this date & time problem ? , please suggest me !!!

You need to replace the internal CMOS battery. It is located on your motherboard. Looks like a small battery for a watch. You can buy them at Radio Shack. Make sure to remove the battery and take it with you when you go to Radio shack.



It is real easy to do and does make take and special tools. Make sure to unplug your computer.
