I have a strange keyboard problem. When the computer loads to the User screen, I cannot seem to type my password. (No letters and numbers are appearing). Then I booted the computer in safe mode using the F8 button and there, opened a text document and again, I cannot type anything.
*My keyboard is connected to the computer and if the F8 button work, why doesn't all the other ones?
Thanks to all answers in advance!

My computer is a piece of crap too.

If it's a new keyboard, you might have to do like I do and turn the computer on without the keyboard plugged in. Then when you get to the prompt screen plug it back in.

Not very convenient but it works for me!

Sometimes a keyboard will come with a driver disk. Try running that. If that doesn't work (like mine doesn't) then make sure the driver is installed properly.

You might have just gotten screwed on a bad keyboard (I don't know if you just bought it or not). Don't make the mistake I made. I thought it was a problem with my computer. By the time I figured it out my receipt was outdated and I got stuck with this piece of crap.
taxed till i die,and then some.

This is a problem inside Windows. There are some hacking programs that can command Windows to disable your keyboard, like Netbus. The best thing to do is reinstalling your Windows.
