i cant detect the HDD i formatted in my macbook pro in my PC? HELP!?

and i want to move the files in my PC to my mac book pro.
but the formatted HDD isnt detected by the PC.

ARRGRGGHH

mac is OS x-tiger
PC is windows XP

what should i do pls im kinda depressed -_-

That is because your Hardrive is not formatted in Fat or NTFS so it cannot read the data you formatted it in Mac OS extended.

Well you should be more specific on how you formated the disk and with which OS... Did you used different partitions? in what system type you formated it...



I don't know exactly what system types Mac recognizes,

but WinXp recognizes only FAT, FAT32 and NTFS (for not corrupting the data) ... You probably cant view mac partitions from xp but you view them from Mac (i mean fat,fat32 (not sure for ntfs))...



There should be programs called partition managers like "Partition Magic" that should let you view all the partitons from WinXP but i dont know if you can move files between different system types

i think the mac uses like the linux kernal and the pc uses dos cant you network the two together and move you files that way
