I can't seem to figure out how to send the midi signal from FL Studio to my keyboard. Midi from keyboard to FL works fine though. The reference manual just gave me more questions. "Enable Midi Output" and "Enable Midi master sync" are both checked and in the settings I have "Send master sync" checked. How am I supposed to know what port number to use? This just confuses me. My interface is an Mbox and I'm using FL Studio 8. Thanks for any help.

well im not quite sure what you mean....but im guessing that you want to pull the sounds out from your keyboard and play them on FL Studio as midi right? if you meant the other way around then its funny cos that's suppose to be easier.

ok if im right then this how u do it.....u already on midi right? ya keyboard is connected as midi and the sounds from FL are played on ya keyboard....so if you want to use the sounds that came with ya keyboard, what u need to do is go to Options/Midi Settings (F10)...on the Output list....select your device....and select the port you'll be using that device with (Port Number 0 for example) also make sure that you go to Options/ and under Midi....tick the three options which are Enable Midi Remote Control, Enable Midi Output, Enable Midi Master sync. OK tats it for the setting.

Now go to Channels/Add one/Midi Out....now on the Midi Out window.....make the Port to 0 to match the one you selected from the setting. click on (none) and you'll see all the sounds from your keyboard listed there....just select one and off you go.

add another Midi Out....give it a same port to use another sound from your keyboard.

good luck

Hi, I'm not familiar with your hardware, but I use Jazzware with a soundblaster midi interface and a Roland keyboard - Jazzware is configurable to send midi output through the soundblaster midi, the onboard sound card or through the Microsoft GS midi simulator to the PC speakers - you might have an output device selection in your software to point the output to your device - good luck with it
