I wanted to buy and external hard drive, install and run a windows onto my Mac Book. I want to be able to play some games and be able to access and store them on the hard drive but not take the space up on my Mac Book. Is it possible to do that and how? Thanks!

When you buy an external hard drive, you format it and then can use it for storage space. The windows in your macbook should pick up the extra drive just fine, and let you store games and apps to it just like any normal windows folder on the hard drive of the macbook. As far as remotely installing windows on it to run separately, any windows since millenium has built-in anti-piracy measures that will

prevent it from running on a different system than the one it was set up on, and I doubt your macbook would operate properly if you tried to boot from an external drive.

Not easily.

Windows seems to be poor at booting remotely.

From what I read, it's possible if you do a little hacking to prevent Windows from resetting the USB system.

Now, if you have a MacBook Pro with the ExpressCard slot, Windows could be easily put on a SSD card.

You may be able to use a virtual machine to emulate Windows, but I think you have to buy it.

I don't have experience with this subject however this could possibly be helpful

in the bios (or uefi if macs have moved over to it finally) you'll have to make sure you have booting from usb devices enabled [or similarly named thing] and then have the boot order priority list usb devices first. then just plug the harddrive in and turn it on.

no because mac books only work on apple computers they do not work on windows.
