Question:
CPU Temp - Speedfan...?
2007-08-13 23:01:40 UTC
My CPU has been running hot. It was running at 80c. Anyway, now Speedfan won't detect my CPU temp. It's just detecting one temperature, the first one.

All it says is...

Temp 1: 40c

And nothing else.

Usually it will be something like this...

Temp 1: 40c
Temp 2: 80c (CPU)
Temp 3: 40c
Temp 4: 40c

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or can anyone recommend another good CPU temperature detecter. Thanks.

I don't know anything about the program SpeedFan, I've never used it. However, you can download PC Wizard 2007. It is a free program, and it will tell you everything about your computer, hardware and software. It will tell you the CPU temp, mainboard temp, etc. It will also tell you the CPU fan speed (RPMs) and the mainboard/case fan speed (RPMs). This is helpful in diagnosing if a fan is getting ready to fail.

I've listed the link below.

Good luck!

P.S. (I did an internet search for SpeedFan.) Are you using the most current version (v4.32) of Speedfan? If not, you can get it at the second listed link below.
