Someone please help. about a month ago I was resizing my ntfs partition. The laptop(dell inspiron 1525) doesn't charge anymore, and during the process of the resizing the computer got unplugged. All the data has been lost. I need someone who knows a lot about hard drive recovery to help me out. I have tried about 7 different programs to recover, and I barely get the stuff back, and the stuff I do get back don't have names. Help me restore all the files with names at the best possible. I'm very depressed about the situation and haven't touch that computer since that day. I feel like a dick for not having a backup. Please someone help...

Look for a program called File Scavenger, I used it when I needed to recover my HDD (Hard Disk Drive) as well. Some important things about recovering the info though - do not save anything else onto the hard drive, as the info you want to recover may get overwritten. This can happen because the information you want back is actually still there, but the headers have been wiped. Basically the header is what tells your pc where that file is and what it is. Even when you format a hard drive, the info is still there but the headers get wiped and then the PC will tell you that there is nothing there. So putting new info onto the drive then does overwrite whatever was there originally.

The best thing to do is to use an external HDD to save any found information onto, or a separate internal HDD if you have one. Hopefully, at the point where you found you wanted to recover your HDD, you didn't put anything else onto it. If that's the case then you should be able to recover everything. If you did save anything else onto it, then you may only get a partial recovery.

Anyway, you can get File Scavenger from

I hope this helps, and if you need any assistance, please let me know.

You can recover all the lost or deleted files or partition from Stellar Windows data recovery software. Its supports 185 file types like NTFS, exFat, FAT and many more. You can download the free demo version from the website. After running the software, its shows the preview of retrieved data.

i recognize what you attempt to do. So, follow those training: a million - get rid of the contaminated HD and plug interior the hot one and consider out besides. in case you won't be in a position to boot, then WXP in this HD won't know the motherboard, as a results of fact it became put in in a different computing gadget(it relatively is the place the reliable HD got here from). 2 - If a million above does no longer artwork, you are able to plug the contaminated HD in yet another gadget. yet, you will could desire to set the contaminated HD as SLAVE. it relatively is complete by way of fixing the pinout interior the HD. examine the training on your HD. reliable success!!

I've worked with some of those programs, almost all do a back-up before they perform the action, & they also set a restore point, check that out & God Luck >:)

You've gone as far as you can. Be thankful you got unnamed files back at all. If the directory is screwed, then that's the best you can hope for.
