I thought windows 7 ultimate came with XP OS so certain programs can still be opened and used? I have an old program i need to install and it only works for xp. I'd like to know how to access this xp os on my 7 ultimate.

When you start up the computer hold F8 this should let you go into the os sellection 7 has a safemode and xp in there
also try this, you may be able to instal the program on 7 then in the .exe properties dialogue box turn on the compatability feture. It might work if you set it to xp.

that would be essentially declaring that windows 7 is crap.... and i don't think a multi billion $ company like microsoft would declare that
if it doesn't work on windows 7, well windows 7 must be crap, but i don't think MS would admit that
