okay so i've heard people say that defragging your hard drive gets rid of all the junk that's making your system slow, how do i do this on a Mac OS-X? and where would i get a free online virus scan for my mac as well?

It is a process that will physically reorder the 0's and 1's on your hard drive in order to make read times quicker, and it is not necessary on 10.3 or 10.4 OS X because they index themselves, and place documents intelligently (as opposed to other popular OS's).

No viruses on mac -> no need for virus scans.

@ that guy: I don't know a single person who uses a virus scanner on their mac, and I have never met anyone who has had viral troubles on thier Mac.

defragmenting your hard drive is like ordening you papers to find them quicker. The computer places all the files nicely next tot each other in order to acces them more quickly.

Defragmenting organizes all the partial files scattered in your hard drive. It should probably be found in "System Tools". I have Windows XP, though. I don't know anything about MAC.
