We just bought a Dell Inspiron 530. It has a 2GB memory and a 320GB hard drive running Vista. It came with Roxio Media Creator 9, when we try to burn a dvd it wont start encoding or burning.(just sits there doing nothing) Does anyone know why this would be happening.

No, without some sort of error message from Roxio, there's no way to tell you what's wrong. But, your PC is brand new, and under warranty. So, call Dell and ask them.

That's what they do.

Check that your burner is working properly. Anyways do you have a CD inside it?....lol...another thing it could just be a little bug in the software maybe if you try reinstalling it it will be fine.
