The boot process seems unusually slow. For some reason it sits on a plain
black screen for some time before moving onto the screen with the logo and
loading bar where it all seems normal and loads at the speed I would expect.
Once in Vista all seems normal. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think thats just Vista. Mine did that brand new straight outta the box. And it still does. Only advice I have is to make sure your updates are turned on. Sooner or later they MIGHT get around to doing something about it. I leave my pc on most of the time. I just put it to sleep rather than constantly booting up.

that's how homestead windows works. It a lot all extensions in the time of startup. upload extra apps with extra linked archives and it really is going to load them in the time of startup. that's the purely way homestead windows would nicely be nicely appropriate with as we talk's quickly paced international. There are extra useful procedures and it has not some thing to do with a swifter this or extra that, it really is going to easily bloat back. this kind of Pre-Loading (see c:windowsprefetch) all started with XP through it really is largly overweight code base and desire to help purposes relationship decrease back to the 80's. in case you don't love attempt some thing *Nix depending like PClinux2007 or get a Mac.
