Question:
The left and middle button on my mouse are messed up.?

Everytime i left click with my mouse, the middle button starts to work, this is really annoying.

Say for example, i wanna go to a link, i left click and my page turns into that link, and i open a new tab because if you press the middle button on a link, it opens in a new tab.

Say for example, i want to go to one of my various tabs, I left click, and it CLOSES!! because if you click on a tab, with the middle button, it will close that tab.

This is really annoying. Is there a way to disable the middle button?

BTW - middle button = scroll wheel

I would re-install the drivers for your mouse. Check out the manufacturers website for the latest drivers. Sounds like that's all your problem is. You can also try to plug it into another USB port just to make sure you don't have a problem with the port.

I believe there is, but your better off trying to take it out to clean it and perhaps fix your mouse. What's the worst that could happen? You break your mouse and you get a new one. They cost less than 30 bucks. You can get one for probably 10 or 15 dollars if you try. Not a big investment.

You can disable the middle button in your mouse configuration. Go to Start > Control Panel > Mouse/Keyboard and disable the middle button in there.

You never mentioned what type of mouse you have.

You can go to Start, settings, control panel, mouse..

See if you can adjust your settings.

If it's a roller ball type of mouse..Open it up and clean it..

Usually crap builds up, which causes issues with the micro switches inside.

If it;s a sealed cordless lazer mouse,, get a new one..

They are cheap..$20 for mouse and keyboard

in case you could, looks the way you will proably get a clean one in any case, try establishing up your mouse and seeing if there is a few thing this is between the buttons. earlier you are attempting this, in basic terms try blowing out between the butons.

It sounds like it's time for you to get a new mouse.

When it comes to mouses ( is that how you say it? :p ) there's really not much you can do with it if it glitches.

Good luck!
