My computer's audio wont work. My computer says that there are no active mixer devices available.?

Question

My computer plays some sound like music and background sound in a game but when I try to play youtube videos or listen to music on Window's Media Player no sound comes out at all. I've checked to see if I need to re-install the audio and mixer devices but it said they were all working properly. My media player however says that my audio isn't working. I've tried anything I don't know what to do. Any help?

Have you tried other Media Player alternatives.

If that does not work then I do not know.



It is odd, I would think that if your drivers were messed up, all the audio would be off. So, my best bet is that it is Media Player.

Restart your computer. this should re-check your drivers and fix errors.
