You can't remove it. It is set there because some CD's have a certain "wizard" the helps you install the specific program. When you insert the CD, a mesage may pop up starting to guide you through the installation process.

You may try it by going into the device manager, select Drive(CD-ROM menu) and click on the settings tab, then uncheck the Autoplay setting. You will no longer get autoplay. To termporarilly skip Atoplay hold down the shift key, when you put a CD in the drive.

Go into the device manager, expand the "CD-ROM" menu, and clickon the settings tab, then uncheck the "Autoplay" setting. You will no longer get autoplay, another way is to hold down the shift key, when you put a CD in the drive, that will skip the "Autoplay" function temporally.

There may be a file named "autorun.inf" in the root of drive E:.

Please delete it or move to a different location to solve the problem.

If the file is hidden you may not be able to see it, unless you enable the "Show hidden files and folders" option from the "View" tab of the "Folder Options" dialog box which can be found in the Windows "Control Panel".
