The thing is i have a computer tower that is broke when i turn it on, on the pc screen it says monitor going to sleep so there is no way i can get on it but i have allot of things on it that i would really, really like to get onto my other pc here because i need them.

So anyway i was wondering if i take the side of my IQON tower

and take the hardrive out if that is possible and put it in my other pc tower a working one would that work? or is the hardrive to big or small for it or can you not take out the hardrive at all?

If i do take out the hardrive will i have all the stuff i had on my broken tower on my new working tower?

Any information would be a big help even how to fix my broken tower at home all the lights come on when i turn my broken tower on and the fan is running and i can hear the noise it makes when it is starting up windows but it says monitor going to sleep, all the wires and the monitor is working fine, i have also opened it up and give it clean ( dust )

Yes you can, assuming you have an IDE/SATA interface with the other tower.

If you want to fix the computer try:

Reinstalling windows if you can get past the BIOS post, get the data on a dvd using a Linux CD

Trying new RAM/changing what modules are in there

Try another PSU and or graphics card

If you are disposing of an empty disk and inserting it in your Dell then yes you are able to do it. If home windows does not choose up on the disk (rare) then you are going to have to go into disk administration and import the disk. In case you are placing a disk that has the working system (windows) on it into a Dell computer to make use of the home windows or some thing interface then no you cannot plug the difficult pressure in and turn on your computer and use it. You're going to get a Blue display shortly after startup. So say the Dell pc's difficult force went bad and you want to location your HP pc's hard force into it and use the Dell now. Now with a purpose to now not work. You'll must do a repair so the HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) matches the pc that you're making use of. Which you could run a repair on the windows installation to correct the HAL. In case you are doing as described above and the difficult drive got here from a laptop that used a AMD processor and you location it into a laptop that has an Intel processor you'll ought to layout and reinstall the OS (windows). You cannot restore it. Make certain the rough pressure you might be placing into the Dell may also be accredited also. The Dell board would possibly not have the SATA cable force on the MoBo (Older ones don't) it is usually a good notion to make the rough force pin set to Cable decide upon and now not Slave or grasp. Take into account also an IDE cable can simplest have four connections jogging at the same time.

Everyone is talking too much jargon for you here.

Yes is is perfectly possible to remove the covers off your old PC unscrew the drive and put in in the new one. It requires a bit of computer know how to install it in the new one however especially if the old drive is IDE and the new is SATA

I would recommend you buy a cheap external enclosure such as this

http://www.cclonline.com/product/27410/CDLSB-807/External-HDD-Enclosure/CCL-Value-3-5-SATA-/-IDE-Hard-Drive-Enclosure/HDD3330/

and mount the old hard drive in it, you can simply plug the enclosure into one of the USB ports and read off your files

You could then format the old drive and re-use it as external storage

You can install the drive, in a different computer and save the data. Or, buy a new SSD for use as the system disk, then use the old one as a second drive for data. If you do that, once the OS is installed, click on the My Documents icon, and then mogve it to your old drive. You can then delete the system files, off the old drive.

yes you can remove the hard drive and put it in another providing that its the same type of hard drive (sata/ide), if its ide you will need to slave the HD

second answer, i have seen this problem with many pc before what you should do is simply reset the memory )take out the memory and put it in back)

You can move it over, as long as they are both IDE or both SATA computers.

Windows won't work though.
