Hi, community! I have decided to get into some basic (really basic) music production using sony acid music station. I have a 3 yr old MIDI keyboard and one MIDI interface. The interface has one MIDI in and one MIDI out connection and a USB cable for the pc. The keyboard has one USB connection (for pc), one MIDI out, a sustain pedal port and a power supply port. There is no MIDI in. Now I guess that I'm supposed to connect the keyboard to MIDI in (keyboard MIDI OUT to MIDI in interface) without connecting the keyboards USB port to the pc. Is that correct and what do I lose without having a MIDI in (keyboard) to connect to MIDI out (interface)?

The Keyboard has a midi interface for connection to PC. You just need the software to process the output. If you just want to use the keyboard to perhaps generate basic sounds for processing via the Roland, then you can do that as well by using the midi out from the keyboard.

You will find that the USB port on the keyboard will send and receive via the USB port.

Is the keyboard a MIDI controller? Is the kit that bad that you cant name the brand? Do a Youtube search on MIDI

teenager singers? none of those fairly exist anymore. I frequently focus to Sarah McLachlan, who's lots somewhat now no longer a young person singer. Her songs are so lots extra physically powerful and you easily ought to sense approximately the lyrics to interpret her songs. And her voice is physically powerful. :)
