Question:
Good computer that runs slow. Any solution?

Alright, I have an AMD Athlon dual-core processor (6000+ which is 3.1ghz), 3gb of RAM and an 8800 GTS (which wouldn't really affect speed)

It's a nice computer, but it runs unbelievably slow. This computer came with a 2.4ghz single core, and when I got this CPU I got the drivers and stuff which made it extremely fast for about two days, then it died down.

There are quite a lot of approaches, check out defragging the HDD (begin, systems, add-ons, defragmenter. Also check out starting msconfig (begin, run, msconfig), going to the startup tab and unticking any systems you do not desire. Usually there is really plenty of garbage loading with Windows, mainly stuff like a rapid launcher, that is first-rate in precept but when its slowing your approach down you do not desire it. You might additionally check out adjusting the visible settings, this must be anything like 'manipulate panel, show, and simply alter all of the visible results to 'max efficiency' however this may not do so much relatively mainly if the difficult force, because it customarily is, is the bottleneck. Not certain if I'm correct approximately the visuals as I'm strolling Vista, sorry if I'm mistaken. These, and different stuff like disk cleanup, are the loose choices. Aside from that you simply might do what the opposite man or woman stated and purchase plenty of RAM which must be really low-cost mainly for an eight 12 months ancient computer which may not preserve an excessive amount of.
