just recently I wanted to turn on my computer but the screen turned blue with a few explanations saying that windows shut down the computer to protect it from harm... it tells me to press F8 to start in safe mode ...other things such as ...or disable boot and sampling ... I have tried all the options on F8 but nothing happens, the blue screen opens again. I also press 'delete' for set up but things seem normal... what can possibly be the problem and what can I do to solve this because I still can't use my pc?

I highly recommend you using the free version of AVG anti-virus program: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

Oh dear, it sounds as if you have a megga virus that has infected your computer stopping from switching on, if you have a virus protection on the computer go into safe mode and try running it through it may pick it up, otherwise you will have to clear it all and reload the disc.

if all else fails you may have to take the computer to a store andget it fixed.

you are having a bad case of BSOD (blue screen of death), probably caused by a faulty hardware (bad HD, bad ram, etc). If you have recently added a new piece of hardware, remove it and try to boot your computer again.

If not, write down the error code (something like 0x000FFCCCF) and post it here.

In my experience the most common problem is a bad hard drive.
