I am currently studying in the computer field. I need old computers, parts, and electronic devices to either use (if the parts or devices still working) or examine (if the parts don't work). Does anyone know where I could get the computers and parts free or cheap? Like from a computer recycling facility that might let me have some or sell them to me.

eBay. You can pick up old components from eBay for next to nothing. Just make sure you check the postage costs for the particular item before you place your bid 'cos some sellers have ridiculously high postage costs.

We pick up lots of stuff at garage sales, etc. Check with any resale shops in your area. In our area, there are shops which would not accept donations of computer items unless someone guaranteed to buy them.

You can get them from the thrift store for $20 or something.
