How to route Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 through Fiio e10 Amp/DAC?

Question

Hey yall, i got a scarlett 2i2 for christmas but i already had a fiio e10 dac. I need the 2i2 to reduce latency between my maschine an my cpu, yet i need the fiio to boost my maddogs. With the 2i2 the maddogs are pretty quiet and the quality is a bit lower than the e10. Anyway, i connected the two from the 2i2's line in/out outputs to the fiio's line in, but i cant figure out how to route the two. If i set the fiio e10 as the default driver i get no sound, yet if i set the scarlett as main driver i get only the scarlett's effect. Ive messed with all the volumes so that shouldnt be it.
