I installed sims 2 and it keeps on crashing and restarting the laptop. I think it was because of the ATI driver. I have no idea if my version of ATI driver fits its requirements. Where can I find information about the driver?

to know whether the ati driver you have is the latest or not, scan the computer with a driver update software free, the program can tell you whether you need update the ati drivers and recommend the correct one. http://www.ati-drivers.net/

There should be a ATI control Panel icon in the bottom right corner next to the time...That should give you the version number in info.
Otherwise, you can search the root of your C drive for an ati folder...that should have a version number in it's name.
Alternately, you can click on start, then run, then type dxdiag.exe and hit enter. the DirectX diagnostic should give you the version info.

Click on Start=>Run (or windows key + R) and type dxdiag and look in the Display tab.
Or just get the latest drivers, chances are they are outdated anyway.
