Intel is like buying brand name clothing, it cost a lot more but it looks the same as another not as known brand.

AMD has great processors, but intel has the fastest (for an outrageous price) Some people believe AMD's over clock better, which I believe.. I have my 2.6GHz dual core OC'd to 3.1GHz with 100% system stability (fan cooled)

AMD can sell you the same speed processor as Intel for around 40-100 dollars less.

But Intel has the fastest processor on the market. (But, AMD has the fastest Graphics card on the market haha)

Its really all about preference. Intel makes some faster quad cores that are really good for gaming. But AMD makes some cheaper ones like the 6000 X2 or the 7750 X2 that get you really nice performance for the cost.

You also have to look into what type of motherboard you have. Intel usually uses LGA 775, and AMD uses AM2.

shown info, no longer MY personal determination: Intel are a lot extra proper processors for gaming and fantastically a lot some thing else a house consumer will do on a house/place of work/gaming pc. AMD is only a cheap substitute for Intel, continuously the runner up, second position. nVidia playing cards are also extra proper than similar AMD Radeon HD playing cards. even as comparing similar type image (video) playing cards, extra or a lot less interior of a similar funds, nVidia (GeForce) continuously changed into, nonetheless is and could continuously be extra proper than ATI/AMD (Radeon). right here's why: nVidia has the benefits of a lot of more desirable nVidia proprietary useful elements like: * CUDA cores (Compute Unified device structure) * nVidia GPUDirect and nVidia PureVideo HD 1080p, an nVidia hardware function designed to promote off video deciphering approaches and video submit-processing from a pc's CPU (processor) hardware to the nVidia's GPU hardware, used in all sequence GeForce 6 and later and GeForce M for laptops * PhysX (a proprietary realtime physics engine middleware SDK) All those useful elements lack on the ATI/AMD playing cards... What all that translates into, is extra rigidity placed on your CPU to compensate even as utilizing an ATI/AMD card, and degraded universal performance in video games and different images severe purposes. it truly is why AMD makes use of inexpensive tricks which incorporates putting the GPU on one board (what they call twin images) or turning out to be the AMD APU sequence processors (an all-in-one CPU+GPU) in a determined (and failed) attempt to compete adverse to an nVidia GPU from a similar funds.

In reality, there is no difference in quality or power. Intel just advertised the crap out of their items. For a 2.5 ghz dual core processor, intel makes you spend 120-150 bucks, while AMD makes you spend 50-60 bucks (i got mine for 40). Although Intel may be a little bit farther in their processor development, amd gives you the same product for much less.

it really depends on u, they are both good.

but at the moment intel has faster cpus out than amd.

but amd has their cpus ALMOST as fast as the intel and for a cheaper price

amd gives you awesome performance for around £50

intel gives you the same performance for £200

dont get intel, wait until amds am3 motherboards and cpus come out with ddr3 and more cores and speed.
